Take A Hike - Upper Canyonback Trail - Led by Marc Hertz
We'll hike south along a ridge above Mandeville Canyon overlooking vistas of West LA and Downtown Los Angeles, with possible views of Mt. Baldy and the San Gabriel Mountains. Bring water and snacks.
DIRECTIONS TO THE TRAILHEAD:
From East Valley:
Take Mulholland Dr. West to the point where it seems to sharply drop off and becomes Encino Hills Drive. Just before Encino Hills Dr. you’ll turn left onto a dirt road and follow it to the parking lot next to a metal water tank and a large gate across the dirt road.
From Central - West Valley:
Take Hayvenhurst Ave. South to Encino Hills Drive. Take Encino Hills Dr. to the top. The street will be rather steep, but ends at, and levels off at, Mulholland where you’ll turn right onto a dirt road. Follow it to the parking lot next to a metal water tank and a large gate across the dirt road.
