Swinging songs by Beverly Mickins
Ellen Switkes entered the world of personal storytelling in 2004. She was on the board of the Los Angeles Storytelling Festival for years. She produced and hosted Cornucopia, a storytelling show for grownups. In a prior incarnation, she was on staff at The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers and Entertainment Tonight. She now works with children as a language arts tutor.
Beverly Mickins sings around town. She has performed her music all over Southern California. She is the founder, producer and host of Southern California’s longest running storytelling venue The Story Salon, right here in Valley Village. The Salon has produced dozens of one-person shows and personal memoir books under her direction.
